Buon Giorno!
Unexpectedly I am in Italy – again in September. This time for many reasons. I met Ursula Korn Selig in Citta di Castello lastt week. We visited Mons. Schivo who saved her life. What a wonderful day! He is now 99 and half years old and sharp as a tack! Handsome as ever also! It was wonderful to see the friendship the Ursula and the priest have after all these years – a true friendship that last over 7 decades! We are planning on visiting him in June for his 100th Birthday!
While visiting the town with Ursula – she showed me the Star of David that is on a wall in Citta di Castello…from the 1200′s. Imagine that – a Jewish Community in the heart of Italy – over 800 years ago! The things the walls can tell us….
