I happened to find your book in a bookstore and, after looking it over, I immediately bought it. I myself am a holocaust survivor. I steadily eluded the Germans in Belgium and France, then crossed the Alps in Sepyember 1943 into Italy, with many of my compatriots. Although the Italians had surrendered to the Allies, it was the Germans whom we met there, and so I had to endure the war until the Germans retreated from Cuneo, Italy, on April 25, 1945.

I have written a book about what happened to me in those years. It’s title is: “One Step Ahead: A Jewish Fugitive in Hitler’s Europe.” I would like to send you a signed copy of it, if you give me an address.
